Cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie a \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9e sous le patronage du ministre de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la recherche scientifique et de l\u2019innovation, Pr Alkassoum Maiga. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dans un contexte mondial actuel marqu\u00e9 par le changement climatique, la d\u00e9gradation des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes, la d\u00e9mographie galopante et des d\u00e9fis de sant\u00e9 publique, les biotechnologies peuvent constituer une solution \u00e0 travers la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un courant d\u2019innovation technique et leurs applications, malgr\u00e9 les obstacles li\u00e9s \u00e0 leur m\u00e9connaissance par le grand public.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019adoption de la biotechnologie doit se faire de fa\u00e7on s\u00e9curis\u00e9e pour en tirer \u00a0plus de profit et r\u00e9duire au maximum les risques potentiels aff\u00e9rents \u00e0 leur utilisation. Le Burkina Faso, ayant pris conscience de cela, a mis en place l\u2019Agence Nationale de Bios\u00e9curit\u00e9. Pour la mise en place \u00a0de cette agence, des efforts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fournis \u00e0 travers le projet r\u00e9gional de Bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest (PRBAO) qui a \u00e9tablie sur cr\u00e9dit national, un laboratoire national \u00a0de bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence r\u00e9gionale.<\/p>\n<p><a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 ce lundi 2 septembre 2019 \u00e0 Ouagadougou a \u00e9t\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement financ\u00e9e par l\u2019Etat burkinab\u00e8 pour un co\u00fbt global de 565.817.869 FCFA \u00e0 travers une convention de pr\u00eat contract\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s de la banque mondiale et d\u2019avoir aussi des \u00e9quipements de plus de 825.094.693 FCFA avec le concours de l\u2019UEMOA.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Selon la directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l\u2019agence nationale de bios\u00e9curit\u00e9, Mme Chantal Zoungrana, le laboratoire national de bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 de par son plateau technique haut de gamme se positionne comme une base d\u2019une technopole en mati\u00e8re de bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 pris dans son sens large .<\/p>\n<p>Le Pr Alkassoum a fait savoir que ce laboratoire est un outil suffisamment novateur qui, de par ses capacit\u00e9s scientifiques et techniques, contribuera au d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et social du minist\u00e8res ont pris part \u00e0 cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d&#8217;inauguration\u00a0 notamment le minist\u00e8re de l\u2019agriculture, celui de\u00a0 l\u2019habitat et de l\u2019environnement pour dire qu\u2019ils sont soucieux du fait que quand on manipule des technologies de l\u2019innovation, il faut le faire en pr\u00e9servant la sant\u00e9 des population et l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 de l\u2019environnement. \u00ab Ce sont des innovations qui peuvent acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer notre devenir mais qui peuvent aussi avoir des effets pervers qu\u2019il faut contr\u00f4ler \u00bb, a soutenu le ministre de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la recherche scientifique et de l\u2019innovation, Pr Alkassoum Ma\u00efga.<\/p>\n<p>Cela dit, l\u2019Agence Nationale de Bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 a pour objectif d\u2019assurer une utilisation s\u00e9curis\u00e9e des organismes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9s (OGM) susceptibles d\u2019avoir des effets n\u00e9fastes sur l\u2019environnement,
